Our pets are family. We raise them, love them, care for them in sickness and in heath. And when our furry friends reach the end of their lives, we want them cared for just as we would any other family member. We need to know our fur babies have the same loving attention and respect given to them in their death. Faithful Friends Pet Crematory in Clovis NM will honor and care for your animal just as we would our own.
Dogs, cats, birds, hamsters. It doesn’t matter what kind of pet you own, we can perform the service. It is also very important to know that if our owners choose either a private or semi-private option, we absolutely guarantee you will receive your own animal’s ashes back. We have a special tagging system that identifies each animal and ensures no mix-ups are ever made. If you need our services call 575-404-9600, or please click here.
Our history. In 2017, Kathy Elliott’s dog Oreo was put down due to a brain tumor. Even though she was 11 years old, the decision was very hard and the grieving was intense. But her death brought to light the fact that Clovis had no pet cremation service. If an owner wanted their pet cremated, the animal was shipped 100 miles away. Soon the idea of local pet cremation business became a reality, and now Faithful Friends is serving the needs of pet owners in Eastern New Mexico and West Texas.
We are sorry for your loss.
Faithful Friends Pet Crematory in Clovis NM understands your bereavement needs. Your pets have been your loyal companions and they deserve the absolute best. We provide families with a choice of cremation options. You can choose private, semi-private and communal cremations. The first two choices give you your pet’s ashes back. The third one, communal, does not. We truly do our best to make your loss a little less difficult. We even have custom made hand-turned mini key chain urns available if you want to keep your faithful companion with you always.
Pick Up Service Available.
Faithful Friends also has a pickup service if you need. If your animal dies at home, some people find it easier for us to come and get them and take them to our facility. Click here for costs in Clovis and outlying areas.
The only restriction we have concerning the animal is a weight limit of 200 pounds. Because of this limit we are unable to do large farm animals.
Meet Jericho – Our Shop Rescue Dog
Our manager, Chantel, was on my way back from visiting the lovely staff at Sudan Vet Clinic. She saw a tiny, very thin puppy in a ditch outside of Muleshoe. Of course she had to stop and see if he was ok. She realized he was in terrible condition. He was emaciated and covered in ticks! So, after climbing under some farm equipment to get him, she was able to bring him over to the Faithful Friends truck. She called Kathy, our owner, with no idea what do to. Chantel has a host of pets at home, so she knew she couldn’t bring the puppy to her house. Kathy offered to allow the puppy to stay at our shop until we could get him in to see a vet.
Chantel rushed to PetSmart to find something to ease his pain, since he was so small. She was sure he was only around 3 months old and couldn’t have regular medication to ward off ticks. The staff at PetSmart saw his condition and offered to help get him an appointment at Prairie Lake Vet Clinic. The clinic was able to take him quickly, so Chantel rushed him to their aid. When Dr. Dawkins attempted to draw blood, the puppy had so little left that they could only draw 3 small drops. He wouldn’t have survived for another day. He received tick medication and his vaccines. Dr. Dawkins told us he was 6 months old! We couldn’t believe how small he was because of his condition when he was found. Within 24 hours, almost all of the ticks were gone and he started healing. PetSmart donated supplies, foods and vitamins for him, we named him Jericho, and he’s all healed and healthy!
Jericho has been living at our shop ever since, and has the most darling personality. So, for those who haven’t gotten the chance to meet him, you can find a few pictures below. He is always ready to give some snuggles and kisses to people with broken hearts that come for our services. We never hope you have to come see us, but we are always here for you on your hardest days! Jericho is sure to bring a smile to your face.
The photos below are the day we found him and a recent picture of how healthy and happy he is now!
Faithful Friends Pet Crematory may be in the business of helping people say goodbye to their beloved pets, but we support rescuing and providing these precious animals a happy life first! Every animal deserves a happy home, and we are proud to provide one for Jericho!
Thank you so much! This whole situation has been extremely difficult, but you took such good care of my dogs. You made everything so easy and quick. You helped the Capehart family gain some much needed closure. So thank you so so much!
